NO VRE FOR ME!

VRE is a resistant to antibiotic intestinal virus that some people have but does not affect them because the immune system keeps it in check. When they supress my immune It could be that this virus could grow unchecked. But... I don't have IT!!! That means visitors and caregivers do not have to put on gloves and gowns when they come to see me! YAY!!

    This is the most entertaining cancer blog around. Love the images. Part of me was actually liking the idea of trying on the full Andromeda-Strain getup to come see you.

    Our experience with Richard was that the nurses were mostly great -- supportive, informative, understanding. Richard had one great guy at St. Jo's who made him consider nursing as a second career (no maybe that would have been third or fourth career, or even fifth, if you count bon-vivant college stud as a career).

    Keep up your great attitude and I hope it continues to go relatively smoothly (no puking). Thinking of you, I just don't get on the computer all the time (I know, that makes me an outcast in this group).
